Joel Turner
Joel Turner was hunting with his father before he could walk. He was introduced to competition elk calling in 2005 and since that time has won the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation World Elk Calling Championships in the Professional Division twice (2008 and 2010). I now consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to be featured in several television shows as a professional elk caller. In my other life, I am proud to be a police officer and the Lead Firearms Instructor at the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in Washington State. Both of my careers complement each other by allowing me to help people overcome the effects of stress on the shooting system, no matter if it is the bull of a lifetime or a gunfight. I have spent my entire life trying to become a better hunter, caller, and shooter. I am now able to share my experiences through a multitude of seminars for the betterment of the hunting, calling, and shooting communities. Late in 2008, I began to make my own diaphragm elk calls. In 2009, I was again fortunate to become a part of Point Blank Hunting Calls by providing them with research and development information for their line of elk calls. Finally, they are calls with clear tone and consistency. I am very proud to be a part of Point Blank Hunting Calls.
