Matt Stevens
Matt Stevens has been predator/varmint hunting throughout Washington State for nearly two decades, and in the last 10 years,he has worked for the Federal Government as a Wildlife Biologist, specializing in suburban predator control and other human/wildlife conflicts in Western Washington. 2011 will also be his 8th season working as a hunting guide for Okanogan Valley Guide Service in Omak, WA. He guides for deer/bear in the fall, turkey in the spring, and coyotes throughout the year as time allows. Matt received his B.S. in Wildlife Management from Washington State University in 1999.
Conducting coyote removal (calling and trapping) on a daily basis in both rural and urban settings has given Matt a unique look at predator behavior and overall ecology. Matt’s scientific background, successes and failures in the field ,combined with his “think like a predator” approach to hunting, have provided Matt a tremendous amount of experience in turning the predator into prey.
Matt will provide you with tips, ideas, and guidance on predator hunting based solely on his experiences as both the common hunter and as a professional. Whether you are a first time coyote hunter or a person with considerable predator experience, you can expect to walk away with information and knowledge that you may have never considered or thought about while predator hunting.
